Spelling Bingo English Lesson - Fri, 29 Jan

Hello again,

Pupils often get confused with the spelling or the meanings of some words.
6E played a Spelling Bingo. There were 13 words which were tested.
Anxiety and tension grew as we came across the last few words.
We were waiting for one to shout BINGO....
However, we reached an anti-climax situation where no one did.
6E, pull up your socks guys!
Let's see if we get a Bingo the next time we play this.
Anyway, I did go through to clarify on the meanings and spelling of the words pupils had a confusion with after the game.

Thanks...

Mrs Fernandez

For parents who were not able to attend today, the presentation slides will be made available for you in the school website.

Fractions- Dividing by a Proper Fraction

Hi 6E,

As discussed in class, we can use the acronym 'KFC' to help us remember the steps when we are dividing by a proper fraction.
1) K - Keep the first number/fraction term. Don't change anything.
2) F - Flip the second fraction term in the question.
3) C - Change the division sign to multiplication

Examples are as such:

Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC)

Oral activities have been ongoing in the class. Pupils have been guided as to how they should approach Stimulus-Based Conversation. 6E has been very forthcoming in their views. As part of formative assessment, the class was given a quiz via an online website kahoot it.com After analysing each response, the pupils and I were able to address their misconceptions about the BLARE checklist. This checklist is filed in their EL file.

Angles in Geometric Figures

Hi 6E,

We have discussed and also did some recap on angles in geometric figures over the last few days. Here are some highlights:

Some of these properties can also be applied when you are finding unknown angles in 4-sided figures. Please remember to name/label your unknown angles and include the degree symbol in your equations when you are solving the questions in your WB.

Please feel free to also view this very useful video to recap on this topic at your own leisure time. Enjoy!
